Sullivan Names New Head Football Coach

Sullivan, MO, May 8th, 2020:  Sullivan High School is pleased to announce that Eddie Haar has been selected to be the next head football coach.  Haar was most recently the Head Football and Track Coach at Potosi, MO.

 

A graduate of Eureka, MO, Haar then attended Missouri Valley College where he participated in both football and track.  He then finished his degree at Lindenwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Haar brings 11 years of football coaching experience. Sullivan High School Activities Director Jason Merkel said, “Coach Haar will be a tremendous addition to Sullivan High School. He has a great grasp of what it takes to continue to build our football program and bring more success to Sullivan.” When asked what he is excited about the most, Coach Haar responded,“My family and I are very excited to be a part of the Sullivan Community. We plan on continuing to build off the success that Coach Davis, staff and players had last season. Sullivan is a great School District and we can’t wait to meet everyone and get our program started!”

 

Haar is married to his wife, Cassandra, and they have three children, Isabella (7), Mya (3) and Marcus (1).

 

The Eagles open up their season August 28th, 2020 at home vs. Cuba at 7pm. They will look to build on their 2019-2020 season which saw the program’s first winning season since 2013 (6-5).
